![]() ![]() Of course, Duolingo itself can always be improved. I would recommend the Duolingo teaching style to someone looking to make a math or science learning platform, or to schools who would no doubt relish the idea of their students getting a reminder to do their homework over Facebook. The second is that unless the lessons change dramatically further down the line, I am not sure how effective Duolingo is at actually teaching you the difficult parts of language like grammar instead of just vocabulary. ![]() The first is that it is way too easy to cheat on some of the tests, which might sabotage your learning experience if you cannot resist the temptation (speaking from experience here). Overall, Duolingo is an easy to use, easy to access platform if you want to learn a language, however it does have several problems. Once you get past the basics the tests become a little harder, such as writing out a word based on an image with no help, as well as the expected larger words and sentences. Putting the mouse cursor on the sentence tells you what the words are in English in case you do not know the correct answer. After you get enough picture-word matches right, Duolingo gives you a sentence in the language you are learning, with the objective being to correctly translate it. ![]()
